welcome to meadowhead physiotherapy

The Sheffield physiotherapy and sports injury clinic, providing you with the quality physiotherapy care you need at the time you really need it!

Is pain affecting your quality of life? Can’t do the things you would normally take for granted?

At Meadowhead Physiotherapy, we are determined to get you back doing the things you want to do. This may simply be the ability to bend down to put your socks on, or to have a more restful, uninterrupted sleep. Or perhaps it’s getting you back to playing sport again or overcoming a niggling problem which is affecting your ability to work or live life to the full. Whatever the problem, or however longstanding it may be, our experienced team of chartered physiotherapists and associated specialists are here to help.

We run a range of dedicated treatment clinics, specialising in helping people suffering from a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, neck pain, arm pain, sciatica (referred leg, hip or groin pain), knee pain, catching shoulder pain or impingement, whiplash, joint and arthritic conditions including stenosis or disc prolapse, muscle strains, and many more besides.  We are also one of the few clinics in Sheffield to provide a specialist women’s health service, helping women suffering bladder, bowel or pelvic floor problems, as well as helping women cope with pain during and after pregnancy.

We offer a range of services specifically focused towards helping people maintain a fit and active lifestyle. Whether you are just starting to experience niggling problems and want to nip them in the bud, or you would like to get back to an activity which pain or stiffness is preventing you from doing, then we have specialist clinics to help you get back on track. For older people, keeping active becomes increasingly important to their well-being. If you are experiencing pain or mobility issues, or perhaps you are recovering from a surgical procedure, such as a hip or knee replacement, then take advantage of our daytime clinics or community rehab classes to help aid your recovery. Home visits are also available.

It’s no fun sitting on the sidelines! If you are suffering from a sports injury, such as an ACL rupture, achilles injury, tennis elbow or muscle strain, then we can help with your rehabilitation to get you back to your sporting activities as quickly as possible. We also provide a professional Sports Massage service, which is a great way to recover faster for improved performance.

Suffering from a longstanding or chronic condition which is proving difficult to resolve? Tried various therapies but the results are short-lived? Our approach looks beyond the obvious symptoms to understand why you continue to suffer pain or stiffness. By assessing how you move and how you load your joints, we can identify the underlying causes of your problem and thereby provide more effective treatment.
